Formula kvadrata zbira dva broja (a) i (b) glasi:

Primeer:

(3+5)2=32+235+52=9+30+25=64(3 + 5)^2 = 3^2 + 2 \cdot 3 \cdot 5 + 5^2 = 9 + 30 + 25 = 64

2. Kvadrat binoma razlike

Formula kvadrata razlike dva broja (a) i (b) glasi:

(ab)2=a22ab+b2(a - b)^2 = a^2 - 2ab + b^2

Primer:

(72)2=72272+22=4928+4=25(7 - 2)^2 = 7^2 - 2 \cdot 7 \cdot 2 + 2^2 = 49 - 28 + 4 = 25

3. Razlika kvadrata

Razlika kvadrata (a) i (b) faktorizuje se kao:

a2b2=(ab)(a+b)a^2 - b^2 = (a - b)(a + b)

Primer:

9242=8116=65,(94)(9+4)=513=659^2 - 4^2 = 81 - 16 = 65,\quad (9 - 4)(9 + 4) = 5 \cdot 13 = 65

4. Zbir kubova

Zbir kubova dva broja (a) i (b) faktorizuje se kao:

a3+b3=(a+b)(a2ab+b2)a^3 + b^3 = (a + b)\bigl(a^2 - ab + b^2\bigr)

Primer:

23+33=8+27=35,(2+3)(2223+32)=5(46+9)=57=352^3 + 3^3 = 8 + 27 = 35,\quad (2 + 3)(2^2 - 2\cdot3 + 3^2) = 5 \cdot (4 - 6 + 9) = 5 \cdot 7 = 35

5. Razlika kubova

Razlika kubova dva broja (a) i (b) faktorizuje se kao:

a3b3=(ab)(a2+ab+b2)a^3 - b^3 = (a - b)\bigl(a^2 + ab + b^2\bigr)

Primer:

5323=1258=117,(52)(52+52+22)=3(25+10+4)=339=1175^3 - 2^3 = 125 - 8 = 117,\quad (5 - 2)(5^2 + 5\cdot2 + 2^2) = 3 \cdot (25 + 10 + 4) = 3 \cdot 39 = 117

Formula za treći stepen zbira glasi:

(a+b)3=a3+3a2b+3ab2+b3(a + b)^3 = a^3 + 3a^2b + 3ab^2 + b^3

Primer:

(1+4)3=13+3124+3142+43=1+12+48+64=125(1 + 4)^3 = 1^3 + 3\cdot1^2\cdot4 + 3\cdot1\cdot4^2 + 4^3 = 1 + 12 + 48 + 64 = 125

7. Kub razlike

Formula za treći stepen razlike glasi:

(ab)3  =  a33a2b+3ab2b3(a - b)^3 \;=\; a^3 - 3a^2b + 3ab^2 - b^3

Primer:

(62)3=633622+362223=216216+728=64(6 - 2)^3 = 6^3 - 3\cdot6^2\cdot2 + 3\cdot6\cdot2^2 - 2^3 = 216 - 216 + 72 - 8 = 64
